Later on in the book a man called Alfred who lives with Emil and his family cut his finger while carving teeth for hay rakes. He got blood poisoning and Emil’s Mum was going to take him to the doctor at Mariannelund but a huge snowstorm hit and they were unable to go anywhere.
Opinion: I think this book is very interesting and I liked hearing all the naughty things that Emil did.
Recommendation: I recommend this to either boys or girls between the ages of 12 and under. It would also be good for people who like playing tricks and pranks.
